McFly's Poynter "loving touring"

McFly will celebrate the end of their UK arena tour tonight, April 6, in Nottingham and member Tom Fletcher has revealed that Dougie Poynter has had a great time since leaving rehab last month.

The 'Party Girl' star spent time at The Priory in March where he dealt with emotional issues and returned only to face an extensive string of live dates, but has fared really well according to the rest of the band:

"Dougie's good. He's great. We wouldn't be touring without him."

Speaking to BBC's Newsbeat about Poynter's well-being, Fletcher said:

"He's loving touring, we all are," he admitted. "He absolutely loves being on stage and we've got the world, Europe, south America [to come] but we're going to have to postpone the trip to Japan.

"The rest of the year [will be spent] touring but it's what we all wait for."

Poynter tweeted to fans on April 3 that he has been having the best time:

"Still buzzing from wembley. That's the most fun I think I've ever had on stage...apart from setting fire to my pubes at G.A.Y"
