Adam Lambert criticizes American Idol's voters

Runner up of 2009's series of American Idol, Adam Lambert, has criticized the voting public after a very talented contestant was booted off the show this week.

Pia Toscano, who stunned judges with her powerful rendition of 'I'll Stand By You', was voted out after falling into the bottom three and Lambert took to social networking site Twitter to air his opinions:

"Sad to see Pia go. One of the best voices on this season. Makes me think Voters aren't focusing enough on vocal/musical ability."

This comes amid criticism that viewers of the popular talent show are targeting the female contestants and not only Lambert, but the judges were incredibly shocked at Pia's departure.
