Goldfrapp working on a new record

Will Gregory of Goldfrapp has revealed that the electronic outfit has begun working on a new album.

The 'Strict Machine' stars left their record label EMI last year and this announcement marks their return to music. Gregory explained to BBC's 6 Music that getting back into the studio just feels right:

"I am ready to do it now - to get back to Goldfrapp will be a very refreshing change,"

He added:

"We have, as usual, lots of stuff in the bottom drawer which we rejected the first time round, but I expect we'll want to start a fresh this time round."

Gregory revealed that he isn't sure about the direction of the new music yet, but said that he and Alison Goldfrapp have been meeting up to make plans although it's often easier to go with the flow:

"We have tried sitting down and writing lists and having coffee to talk about it, but usually we just mess about. It's good not to be too conscious about what you do."
