Lady Gaga has expressed her admiration for musical show ‘Glee’ after seeing their latest episode tackle the issue of self-acceptance using the singer’s anthem ‘Born This Way’.

The episode featured the characters on the show dwelling on aspects of themselves that they were self-conscious of, but overcoming their reservations with the help of Mr Schuester (Matthew Morrison). The episode culminates with a performance of ‘Born This Way’ by the cast who all donned t-shirts displaying their individual insecurities.

Today, Gaga took to Twitter in praise of the episode, which has come under fire over its gay themes, saying: “I really loved Glee's Born This Way episode.”

She explained: “I admire the show for being brave+fighting for such modern social messaging. Never back down.”
