My Chemical Romance hit back at 'propaganda' claims

Gerard Way, the frontman for My Chemical Romance, has hit back at accusations from U.S broadcaster Glenn Beck who warned people that the band's track 'Sing' was full of propaganda.

The right-wing Fox News presenter slammed the track along with its recent inclusion on the hit show 'Glee', which he also publicly tore down as a "horror show", and labelled it "an anthem saying 'Join us'. How can you and I possibly win against that?".

The band recently re-recorded the track to raise money for the Japan relief fund and following these rather outrageous claims, singer Way took to his official blog and wrote about the dramatic accusations:

"I think the word Glenn Beck was looking for was 'subversion' not 'propaganda', because I don't know what it would be considered propaganda for truth?"

"I can't tell what he's angrier about - the fact that it's how I feel about the persistent sterilization of our culture or the fact that it's on network television for everyone to hear."
