Spice Girls musical delayed

According to Melanie Chisolm, production of ‘Viva Forever’, the Spice Girls musical, has been delayed so that the pop stars can “make sure it’s right.”

The members of the legendary girl group – Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown and Chisolm – have all had a say in the creation of the show.

However, Mel C admits that the production is still not quite right, saying to the Daily Star Sunday that busy schedules have slowed things down so much that the show’s debut has had to be pushed back.

"We were planning to open around summer time but it's likely to be a Christmas show now,” she said. “We've put it back to make sure it's right."

Mel C also addressed any rumours that the girls themselves would appear in the show.

"The script is funny and emotional. But there won't be any cameos from us."
