Pop sensation P!nk has caused controversy within the Disney community after crticising Selena Gomez's use of pink-painted horses in a new music video. 

The 'Who Knew' singer tweeted, without knowing whose video the animals were for, yesterday (May 19):

"If there are any animal activists around Malibu- at Leo Cabrillo State Beach, there are horses being painted for a stupid music video. Shame. Artists should be more aware and responsible for their actions."

Following a surge of media and fan comments it was soon brought to P!nk's attention that it was indeed the young Disney star that she had called out, but she stuck to her guns and wrote a public message on the social networking site that reinforced her original statement:

"Whether u r a fan of mine or whomEVER'S, i won't stop speaking out about animal cruelty.i've taken responsibility in the past,so should she."
