KT Tunstall is rooting for her pal Adele to continue holding on to the No. 1 spot on the UK charts.

The pair met for the first time at the BRIT Awards in the loos after Adele won the Critic’s Choice award in 2008.

Speaking to the Daily Star, KT said: “Adele has one of the best voices around. It’s about time we had our generation’s classic female diva in the UK.

“I mean that in the old sense of the word – she makes me laugh so much in her interviews. I love her attitude.”

Tunstall has a bit of news herself, having just posted her latest EP ‘The Scarlet Tulip’ on her website kttunstall.com for her fans’ listening pleasure.

 “I’d written a bunch of finger-picked folk songs while writing for my third album Tiger Suit and wanted to get them out there,” she said.
