Members of Muse to switch roles

Matt Bellamy has passed the torch of chief songwriting duties down to bassist Chris Wolstenholme for Muse's next album. 

The 'Uprising' stars have been talking about their forthcoming record for a while now, but Bellamy has revealed that his bandmate will be penning the majority of the tracks. Wolstenholme told The Sun newspaper that while it's an honour, it will also be a challenge:

"Matt's raised the bar quite high in terms of songwriting. I'm a bit nervous because I don't want to write a song and it be responsible for the demise of the band."

Muse are one of the headlining acts at this year's Reading and Leeds festivals, and you can watch their performance of 'Uprising' from their 2010 set at Wembley Stadium here:
