Westlife fought with Cowell's label Syco

Westlife are happy to be signed to a new label after Syco, their previous home, only allowed the group one single release per album.

Kian Egan explained to the Daily Star that RCA has given them the freedom to showcase more material from any new releases they bring out:

"Simon’s company (Syco) has become more about TV as the music industry is shrinking. We’d have arguments about wanting to release more than one single with Syco, and Simon wouldn’t even be involved. Leaving was the best decision for us.”

The 'Flying Without Wings' singers are set to unveil a greatest hits record in August, which will contain five brand new tracks, and said of their forthcoming new single:

"The new single is up-tempo and very different for Westlife. Mark Feehily co-wrote it with John Shanks."
