Audi hits back at Eminem

Heavyweight U.S rapper Eminem recently revealed plans to file a lawsuit against car manufacturer Audi for using a track very similar to his 'Lose Yourself' without permission, and now Audi has hit back at the claims.

A spokesperson for the company wrote in a statement to Yahoo! Music:

"The video referred to is not an advertisement. Also, this does not involve Audi of America. The video was not shown here in the U.S."

A previous statement from the superstar's Eight Mile Style clarified the situation and explained why he felt there was a case:

"We believe Audi not only used 'Lose Yourself' to sell their product without permission, but their spot actually feels inspired by elements of Chrysler’s commercial campaign.”
