James Blake to headline extra day at The Big Chill

James Blake has been confirmed to headline at this year's The Big Chill festival on a special night that will see the event open one day early.

Never done before, the Hereford based festival will open the gates a day before it was originally due to kick off and the young dubstep star will now headline the Deer Park Stage on Thursday, August 4.

An official statement from The Big Chill organisers explained their excitement at this new addition to the bill:

"Uber-talented musician, DJ and producer James Blake, who ranked second in the BBC’s Sound of 2011 poll, will play a set of his highly-acclaimed smooth, dubstep-peppered electronic tracks on Thursday night at The Big Chill on the Deer Park Stage."
