Adele won't give up her vices

Singer-songwriter Adele has decided to abandon health-conscious living in favour of her beloved cigarettes and alcohol.

She features on the cover of July's issue of Britain's Glamour magazine and explained that when she developed laryngitis she was confined to her room and it was "f**king boring":

"I gave up smoking for two months... It was f**king grim. I had laryngitis about a week before the album came out and it was so frightening. I stopped smoking, drinking, eating or drinking citrus, spicy foods and caffeine. It was so f**king boring. When my album went to number one here (in Britain) and in America, I just sat in my room and watched TV because I couldn't go out and talk to anyone."

Although she noticed a significant improvement in her voice when she temporarily stopped smoking, Adele added that she doesn't mind sacrificing her Grammy award-winning vocal chords for a cheeky cigarette every now and again:

"My voice was better when I wasn't smoking. Within a week I noticed it had changed, but I'd rather my voice be a bit s**t so I can have a f**king laugh."
