Man admits to involvement in Tupac shooting and apologises to the rapper's mother

After years of silence, a man has admitted to being involved in a 1994 robbery which saw rapper Tupac Shakur shot five times. The star survived, but would later be gunned down in a separate, but possibly not unrelated event.

On the eve of the late star's 40th birthday (June 15), inmate Dexter Isaac, who is serving life for robbery and murder, told AllHipHop.com that he wanted to confess to the robbery to prove the involvement of Jimmy "Henchman" Rosemond who according to Isaac, masterminded the events that lead to Shakur being shot and killed in 1996:

"I want to apologize to his family [Tupac Shakur] and for the mistake I did for that sucker [Jimmy Henchman]. I am trying to clean it up to give [Tupac and Biggie's] mothers some closure."

He also explained to the site that he had no problem with going on record with the information. Check out Shakur's video for 'California Love' here:
