Archived Nirvana set to be screened at Reading and Leeds

This year's Reading and Leeds festival will stand out from previous events as a legendary set by iconic band Nirvana has been confirmed to be screened on the Alternative Stage.

Taking place over the August bank holiday weekend, 26-28, the 27-song performance will be shown on big screens at both locations of the festival. Tania Harrison, arts booker at Festival Republic, told the NME about the exciting plans:

"It was such a legendary performance that so many people haven't seen - so we had to do it. It was one of those seminal moments that changed everything - which is what Reading's all about,"

Kurt Cobain and Nirvana will get the festival treatment on the opening night of Leeds and will then come down to close Reading festival on Sunday, August 28.
