The Raconteurs announce first gig in two years

The Raconteurs have announced details of a comeback gig. 

The Jack White fronted outfit will perform later this year at the MI Festival, which is set to take place in Brooklyn, Michigan on September 17. 

Speaking about potential new material, songwriter Brendan Benson told Billboard.com that although the band haven't finalised plans to record, they're getting things moving with a live show:

"I don't know when the next time we'll all be available to make a record, or even talk about it, will be. When we were founded it was whimsical and impulsive and spontaneous and all those words. I think it'll always be that way." 

The Raconteurs' last gig was two years ago and Jack White's main project, White Stripes, has since disbanded so he has more time to focus on other things now. Watch The Raconteurs' video for 'Steady As She Goes' here:
