Maroon 5 launch charity Twitter campaign

Maroon 5 have launched an interactive initiative through the social networking site Twitter, which will see them donate money to an African refugee crisis with the involvement of their fans.

The 'She Will Be Loved' stars have promised to give $2,500 to help Somalian refugees who are fleeing to Kenya and Ethiopia when 1,000 of their Twitter followers repost the following message that they sent out this morning (July 13):

"Maroon 5 needs your help! Retweet 1000 times and we will donate $2500 on behalf of fans to this cause http://t.co/RZk15GI #Maroon5forSomalia"
