Ed Sheeran's fans can be "quite scary"

Ed Sheeran performed at Latitude festival over the weekend (July 16) and explained that his young female fans are "quite scary". 

The talented singer-songwriter told Absolute Radio that he didn't anticipate being "a kind of teen pop star", but has been embracing his popularity nonetheless although he revealed that the frequent invasion of his privacy will take some serious getting used to:

"They were tweeting lots of pictures of them in front of my house the other day, which was quite scary that they found out where I live."

Talking about his debut single, 'The A Team', Sheeran admitted that he's conscious of his fan base's youth, and added:

"The song that broke was a song which subject matter I don't know if young kids should be listening to, so it's really nice to have that kind of fan base, but it kind of confused me to begin with."
