Tinchy Stryder can be 'normal' in Ghana

Tinchy Stryder says he enjoys going back home to Ghana where he can be “normal”.

The rapper, whose real name is Kwasi Danquah, was brought up in London but enjoys visiting his family and friends from his birthplace in West Africa.

He said in an interview: "I'm from Ghana in West Africa and it's such a fun place - everyone's happy and having fun and it's quite colourful.

"I haven't been for ages but I went back last year to see my family and perform, which was amazing.

"Some people know who I am there and some don't so it's quite grounding to go somewhere where people just treat you normally."

Stryder is known for popular hits, ‘Take Me Back’ and his collaboration with N-Dubz, ‘Number 1’. He went on to release ‘Never Leave You’ with Amelle Berrabah from the Sugababes, which became his second number 1 single.
