Beyoncé has revealed that during her musical hiatus she spent time touring with her husband and explained, "I've always been a Jay-Z groupie".

Speaking on popular U.S chat show The View, the 29-year-old 'Run The World (Girls)' hitmaker admitted that she was on the verge of burning herself out so decided to take a break from her high-octane and high-pressure career. 

"It was beginning to get fuzzy, I couldn't even tell which day or which city I was at."

"I would sit there at award shows and they would give me an award and I was just thinking about the next performance. I never really thought about how fortunate I was - it was onto the next project and the next day."

The most enjoyable part, she enthused, was watching her husband perform live as a fan in the audience:

"I got the chance to see the (Jay-Z) shows in the audience, which I had never been able to do, so I was really inspired. I've always been a Jay-Z groupie."
