Jay-Z admits to arguing with Kanye ahead of Watch The Throne tour

Following reports that Jay-Z and Kanye West have been fighting ahead of their joint Watch The Throne tour, Jay-Z has confirmed the pair have argued but they do it to "push each other to be greater."

The duo, now collectively known as The Throne', are due to release their collaborative album on August 12 and hosted a private listening party on August 1 at the American Museum of Natural History's Hayden Planetarium. Speaking to New York's radio station, Hot 97 the '99 Problems' rapper admitted:

"Yes we get on each other's nerves but that's part of pushing each other. We push each other to be greater. Of course there are times when we're in the studio and we're yelling but that's it. I would never disrespect him."

He explained that the friction in their relationship comes from the fact that they both love to be challenged and it's just the nature of their industry, adding:

"The people that have a problem with Kanye or myself are the people who are complacent in life. People don't like to be pushed. It's annoying when people are pushing you to be greater."

"But we're in the business of challenging ourselves. If I was complacent I wouldn't be making albums, I have enough accolades to rest on."
