Stars have taken to social networking site Twitter to vent their frustrations over the shocking riots that have swept London since the weekend. 

The severity of the situation has worsened significantly with over 450 people having been arrested since Saturday, August 6 and 'Paper Planes' singer M.I.A. revealed that her family was directly affected by the looting:

"my cousin's restaurant in croydon has been looted, and gave away all the food. My cousins gold shop - a five year old is walking round looting my cousin's shop."

Meanwhile, Kelly Osbourne aired her concern for friends' safety and wrote, "i literally cant leave my lap top busy making sure friends are safe and glued to the news #londonriots"

"w/ the greatest of respect the police are not educated enough 2 deal with this kind of destruction so why dont they bring in the bloody army. just to make myself clear i DON'T MEAN THE POLICE ARE STUPID just that they have no been taught to deal with things on this level!"
