Jennifer Lopez, who recently announced her split from husband Marc Anthony, will return to the next series of American Idol according to executive producer Nigel Lythgoe. 

He was a guest on Ryan Seacrest's radio show yesterday, Wednesday, August 10, and revealed that all three judges are set to feature on the popular show's eleventh season. 

"I believe we are still waiting for the official announcement, but I am delighted to say that all three judges, along with the brilliant host of 'American Idol,' is back for the next season."

Billboard.com has since reported that FOX has issued a "no comment" statement in response to Lythgoe's premature confirmation.
