Enrique Iglesias surpasses Michael Jackson in dance No.1 hits

As Enrique Iglesias' single, 'Dirty Dancer' acsends to No.1 on the Billboard Dance/Club Play Songs chart this week (chart dated Aug. 20), he has earned his ninth No.1 and has knocked Michael Jackson off of the top spot.

He now holds the postion for most No.1s among men in the Dance category.

He surpassed Jackson in Feb. 5, with his eighth chart-topper, 'Tonight (I'm Lovin' You),' taking on Jackson's then-seven No. 1s. However, the King of Pop took back the top spot on June 11 with 'Hollywood Tonight' from his 2010 posthumous album, 'Michael'.

Iglesias has seen all 15 of his Dance/Club Play hits reach the top 10, since his first hit, 1999's No.1 'Bailamos.' 'Dirty Dancer' is his third chart-topper in a row following 'I Like It' last year and 'Tonight.'

Madonna currently leads all artists with 40 Dance/Club Play Songs No.1s, followed by Jackson's sister Janet with 19. Prince is in third place among men with seven hits.
