Mitch Winehouse forced to return rehab clinic money over name issues

Amy Winehouse's father, Mitch, has been forced to return donations intended for a rehabilitation clinic in honour of the late star after someone already registered the name of the proposed centre.

Mitch Winehouse announced last month he wants to start 'The Amy Winehouse Foundation' to help young Brits struggling with drink and drug addictions.

Plans have been delayed because the name has already been registered as an official company, and donations received cannot be banked as a result.

In a series of posts on his Twitter.com page, Mitch Winehouse wrote, "We all have to bombard the tabloids websites to put pressure on this d**k head who stole our foundation name.

"Instead of concentrating on allocating funding I am having to send cheques back cos [because] we haven't got [a] bank ac [account] in that name.

"Our solicitors are all over this, but it takes time. Meanwhile we can't get on with [the] foundation."

Amy Winehouse was found dead at her home in London on July 23. An inquest into the her death is due to be held in October.
