Olly Murs scores a midweek No.1 with 'Heart Skips a Beat'

Olly Murs has shot straight into the No.1 position in the UK singles chart this afternoon with 'Heart Skips a Beat'.

The track, which also features Rizzle Kicks, has entered at the top spot and is just one of the 4 new entries in the top ten today, August 24. New in at No.2 is Calvin Harris with his offering 'Feels So Close' and Will Young's 'Jealousy' is right behind at No.3.

Making an appearance at No.9 is Noel Gallagher's debut solo single 'The Death of You and Me', which comes just after his newly announced tour with his High Flying Birds sold out and had to be extended.

Pop icon Lady Gaga has this week's highest climber with 'The Edge of Glory' after rising 11 places to No.23 and Sean Kingston's 'Party All Night', which features on the soundtrack of The Inbetweeners movie, has entered at 31.
