The Streets make last ever performance at Reading Festival

Mike Skinner thanked fans for their support at the last night of Reading Festival on Sunday (August 28) as his band The Streets played their last ever set at the annual event.

The frontman is planning to quit the music industry for a career in acting after completing his current tour in October.

He took to the stage for an emotional swan song and he marked the end of his slot by reaching out to his loyal fans.

Skinner told the crowd, "Thank you so much for listening to me chat s**t once more. I'm going to be gone now 'cos I need to do some other s**t with my life. I'm getting too old...

"All the laser crew, all the original gangsters, please take care of yourselves kids."
