Spice Girl Mel B has finally given birth to a baby girl. 

The 'Viva Forever' star welcomed a daughter on Thursday, September 1 with husband Stephen Belafonte at her side, despite recently admitting he would probably sit the birth out because he has a weak stomach. Tweeting to her fans this morning, Mel B wrote:

"Finally our baby arrives, Stephen nearly passed out, Phoenix screamed, I laughed so hard the baby popped out!!! She is just sooo amazing!! I wanna thank you ALL for your beautiful well wishes,it means a lot to me,you guys are the best, I am SOOOOOO blessed my heart is melting!!"

The happy couple's new daughter's name has not yet been revealed, but a spokeswoman for the pair told press on Thursday night, "this evening Melanie Brown and husband Stephen Belafonte welcomed their new baby girl in Los Angeles. This is the first child for Mel and Stephen and both mum and baby are happy, healthy and doing well."
