While in Venice for the Film Festival, pop icon Madonna was given a present by a fan, but her unappreciative reaction was caught on camera. 

When passed a stem of hydrangeas by an admirer, the 'Like A Prayer' superstar briefly thanked him before putting the offending flower well out of sight under the table.

The microphone in front of her caught her telling a friend, "I absolutely loathe hydrangeas."

She rolled her eyes and added, "he obviously doesn't know that".
