Ed Sheeran to reward fans if his album '+' gets to No.1 on Sunday

Ed Sheeran has promised fans that if his album '+' hits the number one spot this Sunday (September 18) in the UK charts, he will treat them to a free EP of remixes and demos.

The album entered at No.1 in the midweek update but Sheeran has explained that the free EP will only be available between 8pm and 12pm BST on Sunday if he maintains the position.

The young singer says it's his way of saying thanks to his fans and tweeted:

I'm not allowed to do this but I'm gonna do it anyway, itl be a free download...So get yourself to a computer around 8pm - 12pm on Sunday night, and have some free music as a thank you from me :) x"
