Hurts were voted 'band of the summer'

In a recent poll by NME, Hurts were voted as the band of the summer, beating the likes of Muse and Kasabian

The electro-duo released their debut album, 'Happiness', in 2010 and have since been touring, including a highly-praised set at Glastonbury 2011.

The lads have said that they will start work on a new album once they get in the right state of mind and "get depressed".

Other bands that missed out on the top spot as the band of the summer were Kaiser Chiefs, The Killers, Pulp and My Chemical Romance
