Arcade Fire win Canada's Polaris Music Prize for 'The Suburbs'

Arcade Fire have won yet another prestigious award to add to their ever-growing collection.

The band have previously scored themselves a Grammy, a Juno and a BRIT Award, but they can now add Canada's Polaris Music Prize to their expanding trophy cabinet.

It was announced yesterday, September 19, that Arcade Fire won the Polaris Music Prize for their latest album 'The Suburbs' as it was named the best album to come out of Canada in the past 12 months. Jeremy Gara, the band's drummer, collected the award and said:

"Anyone who is under 18 and playing music and everyone who has ever been on stage and had the opportunity to play music and have someone hear it, just stick with it, because in 20 years you could be up here and have an album much better than this."
