Singer Matt Cardle has revealed that he's backing 16-year-old Amelia Lily for X Factor success after hearing her "incredible" voice. 

Talking to The Sun newspaper, the 'Run For Your Life' star explained that although he thinks it "will be tough" for a girl of such a young age she has the raw potential to make a significant impact as an artist:

"I'm really loving Amelia Lily, along with the rest of the planet — and rightly so. She's incredible." 

"I do think 16 is very young to be doing this. She needs to keep her head down and just concentrate on her performances. There are a lot of positives with doing the X Factor — but there are some negatives too. I do think it will be tough."

"I know what she's going through though. It is all really exciting."
