Musicians and fans mourn the death of Apple founder, Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple, died last night at the age of 56 after a battle with cancer. 

Jobs' vision and work meant that, amongst many other things, that music fans could fit their entire music collection in their pocket thanks to the iPod.

It forever changed how music is consumed and enjoyed by its fans. 

Jobs retired as the CEO of apple earlier this year, stating:

"I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come".

Today, tributes have been pouring in from the likes of President Obama to Nicki Minaj as 'RIP Steve Jobs' and 'iSad' are trending worldwide on Twitter. 

These are some of the tributes:

President Obama:

"Steve was among the greatest of American innovators — brave enough to think differently, bold enough to believe he could change the world, and talented enough to do it"

Microsoft's Bill Gates:

"I'm truly saddened to learn of Steve Jobs' death. ... Steve and I first met nearly 30 years ago, and have been colleagues, competitors and friends over the course of more than half our lives. The world rarely sees someone who has had the profound impact Steve has had, the effects of which will be felt for many generations to come. For those of us lucky enough to get to work with him, it's been an insanely great honor. I will miss Steve immensely."

Nicki Minaj:

"An innovator. Contributed so much to this generation & beyond. RIP Steve Jobs"

Pharrell Williams:
