Adam Lambert reveals "creative set backs" are affecting his new music

Adam Lambert has revealed that his new material has suffered a "couple of creative set backs", but will be more than worth the wait.

Writing to his 1.2 million followers (October 9) on the social networking site Twitter, the 'For Your Entertainment' superstar explained that his "perfectionist" nature is the driving force behind the delay and will now unveil his brand new single in November:

"Here's the deal: there have been a couple of creative set backs on the first single. Mainly cuz I'm a perfectionist. Ha. Seems as though the single will explode in November. I'm sorry for the delay- but trust me, it's worth it. The song HAS to be perfect!"

Tom Corson, COO of Lambert's label RCA Records, added to The Hollywood Reporter that his forthcoming album has also been pushed back because he simply keeps upping his standards:

"We moved the album back because the creative process is still unfolding. Not because we’re not excited about what we’ve got, we just think we can top it, but we’re right there on the cusp.”

When quizzed about a potential release date for the new record, Corson suggested “February, March -- somewhere in there. Definitely first quarter.”
