Courtney Love was made an honourary patron at Trinity College, Dublin

Courtney Love was made an honourary partron at the Philosophical Society in Trinity College, Dublin, last night.

The star, who is writing a tell-all memoir, appeared on The Saturday Show, a chat show in Ireland, and she said that in the early '80s, she lived in Ireland for almost two years and studied in the college for two semesters.

She said that before she got "kidnapped by rockstars", she was going to study theology in the Irish college.

According to Trinity's website, "The Honorary Patronage is the highest award that the Society can bestow on a non-member" and Gabriel Bryne, Oliver Stone, Al Pacino, Pete Doherty and Archbishop Desmond Tutu have received the honour over the years.
