Nick Carter and Indaba Music to Debut Official Remix Album with Contest Winners

(Los Angeles, CA – October 19, 2011) – Nick Carter, beloved member of the Backstreet Boys and accomplished solo artist, joined forces with online music creation site Indaba Music to give fans worldwide an opportunity to collaborate on his upcoming remix album, I’m Taking Off: Relaunched & Remixed. Now, the winning entries have been announced, and a whopping 14 tracks from Indaba remixers, plus two bonus tracks, will be featured on the album, which has been confirmed for digital release worldwide on November 15. Contest participants submitted remixes of five tracks (“Love Can’t Wait,” “Falling Down,” “I’m Taking Off,” “Not the Other Guy,” and “So Far Away”) from Nick’s second solo release, I’m Taking Off:

One grand prize winner was selected for each track, and these remixers were guaranteed inclusion on the album. They also were paid $1,500 for their work and had their remixes publicized on Nick Carter’s website and Facebook page. Two runners-up were also selected for each track. They also received $500 in compensation and features on Nick’s website and Facebook page.

The release of I’m Taking Off: Relaunched & Remixed coincides with Nick’s upcoming tour of Canada and Japan in November. A U.S. tour is also in the works. 

About Nick Carter
Sparking his career at the tender age of 12-years-old, Nick Carter toured the globe for the past fourteen years with the group that made him an international pop superstar, Backstreet Boys. He released his debut solo album,Now or Never, in 2002, which became a certified gold record in both the U.S. and Canada. In 2004, Carter starred in horror film, The Hollow, a remake of film classic Sleepy Hollow. In 2007, Nick reunited with his Backstreet Boys brothers for a new album and tour.
