Robbie Williams will be releasing an album next year through Universal Music

Robbie Williams will be releasing his eighth solo album next year with Universal Music.

The 'Millennium' star is currently working on the album and it is expected to be released in autumn next year.

He is over in Los Angeles writing songs and he says that is his most consistent album yet.

Williams, whose last album was 2009's 'Reality Killed The Video Star', is very excited to be on the Universal label:

“I'm really thrilled to be joining the Universal family at what I think is the most exciting time in my career".

The 37-year-old left Take That for the second time in his career so he could focus on his solo work again.
