Hilary Duff, who is pregnant with her first child, has said that she is looking into recording a new album.

The 24-year-old singer and actress told MTV that she was already working on new material before she discovered that she was going to have a baby:

"Before I got pregnant I was really starting to work on a new record...I hadn’t gotten into the studio yet, but was meeting with lots of people and kind of just figuring out where I fit now and what direction I want to go in. I still want to do that".

Duff, who is married to ice hockey player Mike Comrie, said that she thinks she will be able to handle the role of mum and popstar:

"I think there’s no reason why I can’t be in the studio working on that while I’m knocked up...But I would obviously wait. I want to have a few months with my baby, and then I think maybe touring with a baby could be easy".
