Amy Winehouse was more than 5 times the drink-drive limit at time of death

The inquest into the death of Amy Winehouse was reopened again today and found that the tragic singer was more than five times the drink-drive limit when she died.

The 'Tears Dry On Their Own' superstar passed away back in July and the initial post-mortem examination had proved inconclusive so was adjourned until this afternoon, October 26.

It was revealed that Winehouse had "416mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood" at her time of death and Sky News reporter Jane Dougall tweeted the news live from the courtroom:

"Short break in the inquest. Pathologist Sohail Banthun says evidence of consumption of a large amount of alcohol sometime prior to death."

"Det Insp Leslie Newman tells the coroner two large empty bottles of vodka and one small found in Amy's room."
