Coldplay tried hypnosis while recording 'Mylo Xyloto'

UK superstars Coldplay have revealed that they were put under hypnosis during the writing and recording process of their new album, 'Mylo Xyloto'.

Speaking to BBC's Newsbeat before their landmark gig last night (October 26) at Madrid's bullring, bassist Guy Berryman explained that they wanted to try everything they could to get the best out of their musical abilities:

"You try 10 ideas and only one works. But nothing is too stupid for us. We're not afraid to try different things. Brian Eno brought a friend in and the four of us were playing music under hypnosis... it didn't really come to anything."
