Justin Bieber has been named as the potential father in a shocking new paternity lawsuit.

A 20-year-old woman from California, named Mariah Yeater, has claimed that the 17-year-old Canadian hitmaker is the father to her 3-month-old baby and has even filed a paternity suit against him. 

The 'Baby' hitmaker's team have already spoken out about the startling accusations, calling them "malicious, defamatory, and demonstrably false". In an official statement, a representative for Bieber explained:

"While we haven't yet seen the lawsuit, it's sad that someone would fabricate malicious, defamatory, and demonstrably false claims."

"We will vigorously pursue all available legal remedies to defend and protect Justin against these allegations."
