Amy Winehouse's former boyfriend rejects chance to make biopic

Amy Winehouse's former boyfriend has revealed that he had been asked to film a biopic of Winehouse's life.

Reg Traviss, who is a director, told the Sunday Mirror that he turned down the offer, because everything is still "too raw" after Winehouse's death in July.

He also suggested that a biopic, which he feels is "inevitable", may be twisted in certain ways to make it more "Hollywood".

He said: "I guess a biopic is inevitable. I have been asked but I honestly don't think I could do it. I'd be too close to it."

Traviss added: "But whoever does write and direct the film may exaggerate certain points to make it more 'Hollywood'."

"The family would want to be involved to make sure that it’s done justice. But right now it's all too raw."
