After eight years together, Sugababe Heidi Range and TV personality Dave Berry have announced that they have split up.

The couple had been engaged, but this afternoon (December 10) Range tweeted that the pair had in fact separated earlier this year. She said:

"Very sadly, after eight years together, myself and Dave decided to separate a few months ago. I wish him nothing but the best in life x"

According to the Daily Mail, a spokesman for Berry confirmed the news, saying:

"Dave Berry announced today that his engagement to partner Heidi Range has been broken off. Mr Berry announced the news today although the couple agreed to separate in the Autumn. The split is amicable and no third parties are involved and he will make no further statement on the issue."
