Taylor Swift debuts 'The Hunger Games' soundtrack song

Superstar Taylor Swift has debuted a song that she wrote for forthcoming movie 'The Hunger Games'. 

The country-pop sensation surprised her 9.9 million followers on Twitter in the early hours of this morning, December 23, with a series of posts that revealed details about the special track called 'Safe and Sound'. She wrote:

"Something I've been VERY excited about for a VERY long time is going to be happening VERY soon. (and I'm not referring to Christmas)"

An hour later, after leaving her fans dangling, she added: "And this is it, the big surprise... Go get it!"

Attached to the message was a photograph of the cover art for the release, which is set to feature on the soundtrack for the highly anticipated blockbuster. The film itself is due to be unveiled in the UK on March 23 and you can listen to Swift's 'Safe and Sound' below:
