Reebok Classic's present: Classic Session #1 (fusing art, music, film and photography)

The monthly Classic Session’s (#ClassicSession) commissions some of the most exciting young artistic talent London has to offer to apply their wildest imagination to turning a white room into a canvas. The session then introduces the musical element by recording and filming a live music session from some of the cities freshest bands. What results is a music video, art documentary, free live recording and photo session in the most unique of spaces, all accessible via weRclassics.com

Remember, when the video is finished, the art is painted over for the next Session to be recorded, so this is the only place and way you can experience the work.

For Classic Session #1 we invited Andrew Groves, the super respected forest dwelling graphic artist to bring nature to the city studio. Over the course of two days his attention to detail and fine illustrative style yeilded a florid, futurist mountainscape and forest, ambitious and after 2 days totally exhausted, the results are breathtaking.

For the live audio component, Disappearers, the critically acclaimed London based indie band (as featured as an artist to watch by the Mercury Awards team) came down with two organs, four vocals, drums and a bass - a big, warm sound for such a small space. We think you'll fall in love with their romantic, blissful piano lead compositions reminiscent of the classicism of Billy Joel jamming with The National - we know we did.

The track will be available for free download from weRclassic.com

Watch out for Classic Session #2, featuring Caan and the biggest stencil we have ever seen.
