Former Oasis drummer to auction off Definitely Maybe kit

Former Oasis drummer Tony McCarroll is set to auction the kit he used to record classic album Definitely Maybe.

McCarroll left the band in 1995 and has lived his life low-key ever since - but now he's set to unload some of his Oasis memorabilia to raise some cash. He told The Sun:

"I've never taken advantage of the Oasis connections over the years. There have been a lot of offers and opportunities but I just never felt the need to. I've been living a really normal life, nothing much has been going on."

Word has spread that footballer Wayne Rooney might be interested in buying the drum kit - and McCarroll has said that he would be interested in selling it to the Manchester Utd player. He added:

"I heard a rumour Wayne Rooney was interested in buying the drum kit and thought that might be better than leaving it in storage."
