Amy Winehouse was muse for Jean Paul Gaultier's new collection

The late Amy Winehouse was honoured at a fashion show in Paris on January 25 after celebrated designer Jean Paul Gaultier revealed he used her as his muse for his new collection.

The runway was filled with models emanating the quirky signature style of the tragic 'Back To Black' singer as they showcased the new spring/summer 2012 couture collection.

Speaking to reporters backstage, Gaultier explained:

"Amy Winehouse was a true style icon. What she stands for above all, is uniqueness. Both in music and the way she dressed, she mixed a great many influences to create her style."

Winehouse previously collaborated with popular brand Fred Perry for a special collection that included shirt dresses and tight fitting polo shirts, so was no stranger to fashion.
