Ed Sheeran confirmed to headline the War Child concertEd Sheeran has been confirmed to headline the upcoming pre-BRITs War Child concert. The event, which is set to take place 2 days before the BRIT Awards ceremony, raises money to help young people and children affected by the devastation of war and speaking about being put at the top of the bill, Sheeran explained: "War Child does amazing music events for such a great cause. To be asked to play this year is an absolute honour." The director of the concert, Ben Knowles, told the BBC: "This year's amazing line-up will make for a stunning, unforgettable night and one that will raise money to help thousands of children affected by war." Sheeran has also been nominated for Best British Single, Best Breakthrough Act, Best Male and Best Album at the 2012 BRITs and fans can vote for him to win through the ceremony's official website.
