Arctic Monkeys and more to play festival curated by Metallica

Arctic Monkeys are to set to play a festival in the summer curated by heavy metal legends Metallica.

The metal quartet announced plans to stage the festival Orion Music + More in June in New Jersey, with Metallica headlining both nights of the event.

The band have picked the festival's line-up, which includes the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Avenged Sevenfold, Modest Mouse and the Gaslight Anthem.

The festival is to have a "lifestyle" element to it as well, which is said to "showcase the band's individual interests".

Metallica will honour the 20th anniversary of their self-titled album by playing the album in full on one of the nights, whilst they will also play their 1984 album 'Ride The Lightning' from start to finish on the other night.
